Ouse Valley Viaduct, West Sussex.
Opened on the 12th of July 1841 the Ouse Valley Viaduct carries the London to Brighton railway line and is known for its ornate design. It has been described in the past as "probably the most elegant viaduct in Britain".
At 96 feet in hight it is supported by 37 arches. The viaduct has a total length of 1,480 feet.
This was another early morning flight as I wanted to capture the elongated shadows cast by the viaduct and its arches. There is a small layby on the adjacent road that can be used for TOAL or you can walk along the public footpath through the field and under the arches. Always fly responsibly and legally near the railway.
